Jocelyn Poole, Esq. an “AV” rated attorney, has been representing the interests of individuals, corporations and insurance carriers for over 25 years. She has been involved in approximately 80 jury trials. She has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations representing both plaintiffs and defendants, primarily in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, plaintiff’s medical practice litigation, negligent maintenance, construction design and selected insurance defense litigation.
In 2002 Jocelyn joined State Farm Insurance Company as a corporate attorney. During this time she participated in handling all types of insurance defense cases including premises liability, automobile, commercial and homeowner’s claims. Jocelyn’s mediation practice is a natural complement to her familiarity with the insurance industry.
Jocelyn was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in 1972, Ms. Poole attended the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a B.A. in Biology-Premedical Studies. She was a teacher of high school science for several years. Jocelyn received her J.D. degree in 1980 from the University of Houston, Bates College of Law. Jocelyn is also conversant in Spanish.
